Unlike other exercise franchises that are based on common, ordinary words, Muscle Beach® is not only a unique term with a distinctive identity, but an exclusive brand that DOESN’T look or sound confusingly similar to any other. It’s distinctive identity is based on three criteria. First, there’s reputation or tradition, like The Masters® has in golf, Wimbledon® has in tennis, and Muscle Beach® has in fitness. Next comes recognition; when a name is automatically associated with something. Someone says fast food, you say McDonald’s®. Someone says fitness, you say Muscle Beach®. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, comes a uniqueness or distinctiveness that no one else has, the kind that we have as The Birthplace Of Fitness®.
